#FIGHTFORZACH

Writer's picture: Rare Diseases SARare Diseases SA

August marks exactly a year since Rare Diseases South Africa issued the following

press release in respect of our #FigthForZach. Despite both Judge Muller and Judge Munzelele ruling in favour of RDSA, we continue to find ourselves embroiled in a continuous legal battle.

At this stage, this matter is still sitting at a Section 48 appeal at Council for Medical Schemes, with our most recent hearing (2/3 Aug) being continued pending the outcome of an Sec 50 appeal, on a decision taken by the committee during the section 48 appeal.

If you are confused, so are we. But one thing remains abundantly clear, and that is that the wheels of administrative justice are slow, and continued pressure is needed at all times, to ensure patients receive access to the care they deserve.
