RareX: a key forum for the global rare diseases community

Writer's picture: Rare Diseases SARare Diseases SA

RareX 2018 brings together a broad range of South African, African and international rare diseases communities, under the conference theme of “Advocating for Patient-Centred Healthcare”. Participants include policymakers and government agencies responsible for matters related to healthcare and health insurance; and stakeholders delivering essential services to the rare diseases community such as disease-specific drug manufacturers and producers of health-related consumables.

RareX also aims to provide a forum for rare disease patients, patient advocates and healthcare professionals, as well as provide opportunities for stakeholders to connect and collaborate on rare diseases and associated treatments.

And we’re pleased to announce that The South African Medical Association has accredited RareX 2018 for 23 Clinical Points (Level 1) and 1 Ethics Point (Level 1). You can view our Certificate of Accreditation by clicking here.
